Introduction- 16/10/21

 Working a 9-to-6 job and being exposed to personal and professional stress and anxiety has often made me resort to sugary foods as a form of comfort or an extra energy boost. While I am a firm believer that eating everything in moderation is the best way to stay healthy while also enjoying your life, I think that reducing the amount of sugary foods I consume will have a positive impact on my overall health. Not only that, but minimising the amount of dairy milk chocolate I purchase is going to take me one step closer to leading a more sustainable, plant-based lifestyle. For the next two months, I will challenge myself to minimise my consumption of products containing an excessive amount of sugar and plastic packaging. I will allow myself to purchase treats occasionally and only if they are vegan and clearly marked as sustainably sourced. I'm hoping that this little change in my consumer behaviour will make me less reliant on sugar and much healthier, while also making a positive contribution to protecting our environment.
